Social networking sites are an increasingly entwined part of modern society. We use them to network for jobs,
communicate with friends and family all over the globe, and connect with others with similar interests.
However, despite their advantageous aura, social networks, much like any other part of the internet, are fraught with
security risks both to your person and your data. Many will try to engender a perception of confidentiality, but one
must remember that social networks take place in essentially a public space with only the barest of protection to your
privacy.
